Educator's Dresscode
Monday 12th February 2018

The NPTA does not in anyway endorse the actions of school children touching any teacher inappropriately and we strongly condemned any such behavior.

The observation mentioned by the our National 1st Vice President, Mr. Clarance Mendoza that the clothing being worn by some of our educators in our Nation's schools are revealing and provocative, was not intended to shift the blame that lies with the student perpetrating such actions. It was intended instead, to raise awareness of the fact that our morality and values as educators, male and female, must be of the highest quality.

This is the context in which our organization intends to advocate for strong family and societal values. In this vein we are soon introducing the Youth Arm of the NPTA alongside all our other efforts to continue educating the parents and children of our wonderful twin island Republic and to advocate for the rights of the child and the development of the whole family.

Schools Carnival Safety and Awareness Programme Endorsment
Tuesday 23rd January 2018

The NPTA endorses the Schools Carnival Safety and Awareness Programme 2018 launched last week by the MOE and to be rolled out by Student Support Services Division. The NPTA commends the Honourable Anthony Garcia for emphasising our children's psycho-social, emotional, moral and ethical development at the forefront especially in the carnival season when many social ills surface in the society. This programme will certainly contribute to their positive character development and in the end will affect their wise choices the make as they develop into adulthood.
